It's been many years since I've used gel lighting, and much of analog studio lighting has become moot. Gel lighting was an exact science of adding and lowering color point values, which has been replaced by easy preset actions in photoshop or even easier still, instagram. I have been enjoying pushing some of the colors in post production, though they do feel a little gimmicky. I've been sneaking a few into each shoot. Here are a few "yesteryear" treated pics.
