I'm excited to share 4 pieces in a new exhibit at Setra Artes! If you're in the Connecticut area, stop by Setra Artes in Stonington. "Present!" is an exhibition featuring small works.
The following are 4 individual pieces, each 8x10 in 2" deep cradled gesso board.
Will need to photograph this one with studio lights soon. This has some color shifting glow in dark hues that are just not coming through in this pic. The mints, teals and green hues are more contrasting and deeper in person. I hope to get this piece in a show this year, because the texture and layer of glaze is hard to convey through photography.
Reopened my etsy shop today. Buy some prints, bookmark it and stay tuned for some limited release sculptures and original paintings as well! I'll be sharing back stories on some of my photographs as well.
The last weekend of April I went to Open Studios at Mana Contemporary and had a chance to stop by Lili Almog's studio again. I fell in love with her work at last year's Open Studio. Her new work, and new velvety prints of her work did not disappoint. I spoke with her and hope to get a chance to visit her studio again soon. Here's her site for more info on her artwork: http://www.lilialmog.com/website/Home.html
This sprawling, beautiful show in the basement of the Mana Contemporary was one of the highlights of Open Studios last weekend. Carlito Dalceggio's show, Ritual Flesh, was an amazing blend of syncretic images, music, sculpture which all came to life through 3D glasses.
